The Verissimo Engineering interest began in the early 50's with the incorporation of an engineering firm in 1953. This company has now become Verissimo Holdings Ltd. Verissimo Engineering Ltd is a subsidiary of Verissimo Holdings Ltd and a member of a privately owned group of companies.
A major part of Verissimo Engineering Limited's early business was structural steel.
Verissimo Engineering Ltd currently operates four divisions, Verissimo Engineering Services (ESD), Street Cranes, DYE Sheetmetal Machinery and SMARTCUT DNC plasma and gas cutting services. Over the years, Verissimo Engineering has built a reputation for quality and reliability and has extensive expertise in the many fields of engineering.
Early projects included this bridge on what is now the Southern Motorway in Auckland.
We are now recognised as one of the largest heavy fabrication/machine shops in New Zealand. Verissimo Engineering provides a full service from design, draughting, fabrication, machining, project management through to site installation. Sub-contracts, which include civil and electrical work, are frequently managed on a turnkey basis.
Flour and cement tankers were early products for Verissimo Engineering Limited.
A number of specialised products are also available exclusively through Verissimo Engineering as sole Australasia agents. These include Cybelec controllers, Ferrari Pressbrake tooling, Morgan Rushworth Sheetmetal Machinery, Park Guillotine and Shear blades and Smartscan Infra Red Light Curtains.

DYE sheetmetal machinery has been manufactured in New Zealand since the early sixties. DYE equipment is well respected and used extensively throughout New Zealand and in a number of markets overseas including Australia, Canada and the Pacific. A testament to DYE equipment reliable and rigidity is that every machine ever produced is still in service today.
Verissimo Engineering Limited perfected the use of tank jacks for tank manufacture in New Zealand
We also provide a full and immediate service for all Dye equipment, and hold a substantial stock of replacement parts. As the sole New Zealand agent for Street Crane of the UK, the Street Crane division has become the leading manufacturer of electric overhead travelling cranes (gantry cranes) in New Zealand, exporting product as far away as Bangladesh
