To ensure that the contactor cubicles can be mounted in a restricted headroom situation typical of crane installations the switch gear is divided into a Bridge Control Panel -BRP (top picture) and a Hoist / Trolley Control Panel - HTP (lower picture). The mains contactor and transformer are situated in the bridge control panel.

With the Street system only two flatform cross-bridge cables are required (one power and one control). the Hoist / Trolley switch gear is mounted inside the hoist enclosure on a hinged back plate to allow access to the hoist brake and limit switches.
