The
ModEva is an ergonomically designed colour 3D controller that can control
the press brake rams (Y1 & Y2), crowning plus 14 other axes. The ModEva
uses a Windows® operating system that provides networking capability
for offline programming, electronic messaging and data back up. Two models
of ModEva are available, the ModEva 15s and ModEva 12. The ModEva 12 has
a 12" TFT LCD colour screen. The ModEva 15s is a slim, compact design
with large 15" TFT LCD colour screen (optional touch screen available).
Both are supplied with DVD drive, 3.5" floppy disk drive in the console
(operator interface unit) and are equipped with the new Quick Cursor device
enabling the operator to quickly scroll the cursor between fields.
The
ModEva is split into two major components known as the Console (operator
interface unit) and ENC (machine control function unit). The ENC is located
in the electrical cabinet and provides flexibility in terms of modularity,
future integration and ease of after sales service. The ModEva has also
been designed with robot integration in mind. Both ModEva models use CAN
bus technology. Among other advantages this technology provides a fast
and responsive controller and enables the console to be upgraded or exchanged
in a matter of minutes. Wiring is also minimized between the console and
ENC.
The ModEva has all the features of the DNC80 including
the same 2D programming software (see
DNC80), plus the advantage of 3D programming and graphics. With the
use of a network or the 3.5" floppy disk drive, programming can also
be carried out offline with Cybelec's PC based software (see
PC1200)and Lucia CAD/CAM package (see
Lucia). This software allows the offline creation, in 2D or 3D, of
products and programs for cutting (laser cutting or punching machines)
and folding.
